amalgamation of luncheon fare.

SPIKES FOR LUNCH! *For those of you not located in Boston, Spike's is a hot dog joint that has a veg. option for almost everything on the menu!* Very Extremely Semi-homemade, like that horrifying Food Network show where some drunk lady shows you how to make meatloaf out of meatloaf and centerpieces.

Samurai Dog remake with a sweet and tangy teriyaki like sauce, banana peppers, sauerkraut and mustard...and Italian Scallion Dog with sauteed mushrooms, pimento-stuffed olives, marinara sauce and some Daiya.  Oh yes, pickles and tots as well.

This is what happens when Aa picks something out at the grocery store and then we go to his parents house and submissively take home 50 pounds of food that ne decides we need.  Inevitably, there is a package of yves soydogs.  I am grateful and accepting of this, at least once in a while.  Unfortunately, there were about 10 more hot dogs to be eaten and I am going to gracefully bow out of that challenge.

This is what happens when you start reading blogs as soon as you wake up.  Butternut squash and red lentil dal for brunch! Served over quinoa with some pomegranate seeds on top.  From this lovely blog right here.

Well that's actually all for now. I just made the Sesame Tofu Scramble with Greens and Yams from Isa's Brunch cookbook as well as the Tomato Rosemary Scones, except with a substitution of pesto for some of the oil and tomato.  Deliciosa!  Now I must go to work.  So long!
