Lake Placid Restaurant Review

Family Vaca 2011! It's been a while, but it was welcomed this time around.  Going 5 hours up north to Lake Placid in the winter is way better than watching my mother torture herself by driving alone for a record breaking 18 hours straight just to go to Florida?? Ugh. Misery! Except for seeing my grandparents...that was not miserable at all! We drank, we ate, we snowmobiled and tubed.  It was fantastic! Not to mention the sanitarium like Bates motel that we stayed in, happily and with a tiny hint of skepticism. 

Anyways, Aa and I managed to find the coolest place there...obviously.  Because we are just that great.   Check it! Liquids and Solids at the Handlebar!

The liquids:

Balsamic Fizz with Strawberry juice, basil, balsamic, black pepper, lemon and vodka. 

Bourbon, Apple Juice, Maple Syrup, Cayenne Pepper, Ginger and Lemon Juice with Apple Slices!






The Solids:


Sorry about the picture! It was dark and romantic in there.  This was a fantastic meal! Ready? Warm rice noodles in a curry broth, crispy battered tofu, peanuts, dried mango and micro greens!  Granted I was quite topsy turvey at this point from our previous drinking hole, this was still the best thing I've eaten out at a restaurant in a while! Aa got mac-a-gnocchi and cheese.  We also split yummy fried brussels sprouts.  DING DING DING, we have a winner!

This is why I got accidentally drunk.  Brewery Samplers!! The Porter was delicious!
